The only way I could have imagined doing 10-15 minute workouts two months ago would be if I were injured. And I would expect to train every day if my work was to be so limited. However, I just didn’t understand the meaning of intense workouts two months ago.

Today’s workout was “light” in comparison to Monday’s medium day and Friday’s heavy day, but the 4.5 minutes of work was challenging. The workout was five sets of the following with 75 seconds of rest between each set:

Double swing x 5
Double snatch x 5
Double see saw press x 5

Each set took about 45 seconds, so the work was done in 4.5 minutes. The rest between sets was 75 seconds, so the rest breaks consumed 6.5 minutes, making the workout 11 minutes from start to finish. The load moved in this 90 rep workout was 4680 pounds because I am working with the 12 kg (26-pound) kettlebells.

The swings are easy.

The snatches are challenging to complete with perfect form. I no longer wear wrist protection and am proud to say that I have not sustained bruises from snatches for several weeks.

The see saw presses suck the life out of me. The first few sets are not bad, but then the 4th and 5th reps of the last sets kick my butt. I keep worrying that I will fail on the next set, but haven’t yet.
